The Joy Set Before Him

Hebrews 12:2 ...fixing our eyes on Jesus the author and perfector of faith, who for the joy set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 

Have you ever considered this phrase, "who for the joy set before Him."? What is the joy set before Him? Who brings Jesus the greatest joy or delight? We, His chosen ones bring Him delight.

Isaiah 42:1...Behold, My Servant who I uphold. My chosen one in whom My soul delights.

Psalms 147:11...The Lord delights in those who fear Him.

He went to the cross for the joy and delight He knew He would experience in His relationship with you and I. What an amazing God, that He created us for relationship with Him.
